Also in weird news, there was a monument to female breast installed here; apparently, they tried to do it in Moscow but were discouraged by people throwing bras at it.

I never supported the opinion that adoption of Russian children by foreign citizens should be prohibited, but this... this makes me speechless. The judge actually commiserating with a man who left a baby in his car for 9 hours - "no prison term is going to cause more pain than that which he has already suffered." WTF?

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn died today. And I feel... nothing, I think. I used to admire him long ago, during Perestroika, when I read about his fight during Soviet times. But then... too many things happened. I cried when Yeltsin died - it was the end of an era, of our hopes, of my youth, maybe. But Solzhenitsyn's era ended long ago.

Apparently, the governor of Tambov region Oleg Betin said that gay people should be torn to pieces and then thrown into the winds. First they said there was some kind of emission on the nuclear station in Sosnovy Bor near here. But not officially - people talking to each other, giving news.

Then they announced everything was okay in Sosnovy Bor and police is looking for people who started this sick joke.

I am so tired and scared of it all. I just heard Khodorkovsky announced a dry hunger strike because of the way they treat his colleague in jail. And I doubt this will change anything.
